Smart ‘Tourist Cities’ Revisited: Culture-Led Urban Sustainability and the Global Real Estate Market

Smart tourism destinations have received increasing attention during the last few years. Digital technologies reshaped smart city paradigm in terms of both resilience and sustainability, capitalizing cities’ cultural historical components while providing unique potential for growth real estate industry. Real estate, particular, is considered a main asset to tourist experience, whether it form hospitality accommodation facilities, urban landscapes, or heritage hotspots. In addition, effect sites overall destination attractiveness on dynamics (land/housing prices building activity) well established. Thus, uncovering how enhanced technological throughputs synergies, culture-led sustainability initiatives dimension are directly (or indirectly) associated could support cities better delineate policies their promotion as international, sustainable, resilient destinations.
